1.4.3 DT700 Series Cabling
To connect DT700 Series (DT730/DT730G/DT710) to the network device such as HUB, PoE Switch through
the LAN cable, use the following procedure. Prepare LAN cables (10BASE-T/100BASE-T/TX straight-
through) for connecting the telephone to network device.
STEP 1: When AC adapter is used to supply power to a telephone, insert the DC plug of the AC adapter to the
DC input connector on the back of the telephone.
The insertion and removal of the DC plug of the AC adapter must be made with LAN cables disconnected

STEP 2: Thread the DC cord of the AC adapter through the groove on the back of the telephone.

STEP 3: Connect the telephone to the network device using a LAN cable.
When you connect the telephone to a PC, connect them through a connector on the back of the tele-
phone using a LAN cable.
STEP 4: Thread the LAN cable through the groove on the back of the telephone.
