Cable Termination and Cross Connection from DRU/DAU (1.5M AMI) to Dterm
Provide the necessary cross connection at the MDF by using copper wires of 0.5 millimeter diameter (24

AWG). Dual-core twisted wire is used for speech path, and single-core wire is used for control. It is rec-
ommended that wires of different colors be used for trunks, station lines, PFT, etc., so that they can easily
be distinguished.
SN880 DRE-A/SN885 DRE-A/SN885 DRE-B cannot be remotely installed by means of a digital interface.

Cable Termination and Cross Connection from MDF to DRU/DAU

Connect the Champ Connector cables (25P) to the CHAMP Connector of the DRU/DAU. When making this
connection, pass the CHAMP Connector Cables through the cable hole located at the bottom of the DRU/
DAU.

CHAPTER 2
While referring to the figure on the next page, run the cables be-
tween the CHAMP0 Connector Cable of DRU/DAU and the
MDF.
Protect the cables using cable ducts, etc.
Terminate the installed cables to the CHAMP0 Connector Ca-
ble and MDF.
While referring to Figure "LT Connector Pin Accommodation
for DLI/DAI", identify the lead names of the DLI/DAI card and
the terminal locations of the lead.
While referring to the figure on the next page, provide the nec-
essary cross connections at the DRU/DAU side and the Tele-
phony Server side.
