39. Label and disconnect the wiring connectors at the
secondary function valve solenoids (1) located on
the side of the hydraulic tank. Move all wiring out of
the way to allow engine removal.
40. At the hydraulic fluid reservoir, disconnect the engine
harness wire lead (2) from the hydraulic oil
temperature sending unit (3) (viewed from bottom of
hydraulic tank).
41. Label, disconnect and cap the discharge (4) and
pilot (5) hoses at the compressor (6) on the engine.
42. Remove transmission capscrew (7) holding
clamp (8) with compressor hoses (4 & 5) and right
side of transmission lift plate (9). Remove the clamp
and hoses and re-install the capscrew to secure the
lift plate to the transmission.

43. Disconnect the fuel inlet line (10) at the fuel lift
pump. Install a plug in the end of fuel inlet line.
44. Disconnect the fuel return line (11) from the injector
pump (12).

45. Mark the location of the throttle cable (13) at the
throttle cable mount clamp (14). Remove bracket.
46. Disconnect the throttle cable (13) at the engine
throttle lever (15).

IMPORTANT: Before the engine can be removed from
the vehicle, the air conditioning hoses (16 and 17) need
to be removed from the air conditioning compressor (18).
This procedure must be completed by an authorized air
conditioning service technician. This service technician
will also need to be available when the new engine is
installed to re-install the air conditioning hoses (16 and
17) to the air conditioning compressor (18).
