7. Place blocks or supports beneath the outer boom
and lower the boom onto the blocks or supports.
Remove the sling from around the boom.
8. Use a suitable overhead lifting device and sling
attached to the lift/lower cylinder (13); remove slack
from the sling.
9. Remove capscrew (14) and elastic locknut (15)
securing the lift/lower cylinder pin (16) at the outer
boom lift/lower cylinder mount boss on the underside
of the outer boom.
10. Carefully extract the lift/lower cylinder pin (16).
11. Lower the lift/lower cylinder into the chassis cavity,
onto a suitable support placed at the front of the
cylinder.
12. Working from the top of each slave cylinder (17),
remove capscrew (18) and elastic locknut (19) at the
cylinder mount pin (20).

13. Remove the slave cylinder mount pin (20) through

the circular opening in the chassis weldment. A long
bolt of the same thread size as the tapped hole in
the cross pin may be threaded into the cross pin to
aid in removal. Carefully rest each slave cylinder
down onto the chassis. DO NOT stretch or damage
the slave cylinder hydraulic hoses or tubes.
