WARNING:
severe burns or eye injury. NEVER remove the
radiator cap while the engine is hot. The cool-
ing system is under pressure. Wear protective
clothing and safety glasses.
6. Place a suitable container beneath the radiator
petcock.
7. Slowly turn the radiator cap (7), located in the upper
radiator hose, to the first stop and allow any
pressure to escape. Remove the radiator cap.
8. Place a funnel at the base of the radiator to channel
the drained coolant into the container. Open the
radiator drain plug (8) or petcock and allow the
coolant to drain into the funnel. Transfer the coolant
into a properly labeled container. Dispose of properly
if coolant needs to be replaced. Close the radiator
drain plug or petcock.

9. At the bottom of the hydraulic system oil cooler (9),
disconnect the two hoses (10 and 11). Remove and
discard the flat-faced o-ring seals from the hose
elbows. Cap both hoses.

10. Loosen clamps (12 and 13) on the radiator return
(lower) hose (14). Work the hose off the radiator.
Position the hose out of the way to allow radiator
removal, or remove the hose from the engine.
Inspect the hose and replace if necessary.
11. Loosen both clamps (15 and 16) on the radiator
input (upper) hose assembly (17). Work the hose
assembly end off the radiator. The hose assembly
bracket (18) is attached to the top of the radiator
shroud. Wait to position the hose assembly out of
the way until ready to remove the shroud and
radiator. Inspect the hose components and replace if
necessary.
