Transmission: ZF 4 WG-98 TS
10. Remove transmission capscrew (7) holding the right
side of transmission lift plate (8). Reinstall the
clamp (9), compressor hoses (10) and the lift
plate (8), with the transmission capscrew (7).

11. Raise the transmission-to-transfer case drive shaft
assembly (11) into position. The slip-yoke end of the
drive shaft mounts toward the transfer case. If
reinstalling a drive shaft previously removed, align
the flange yokes according to the alignment marks
made during removal.
IMPORTANT: Yokes at both ends of the drive shaft must
be in the same plane to help prevent excessive vibration.
12. Install the eight [4-Front and 4-Rear] 1/2-20 x 2.0"
NF Grade 8 capscrews (12), sixteen [8-Front & 8-
Rear] 1/2" lockwashers (13) and eight [4-Front & 4-Rear]
1/2-20 NF Grade 5 nuts (14) securing the flange
yokes to the transfer case and transmission. Torque
nuts to 105 ±10 lb/ft (142 ±14 Nm).
