Hydraulic Troubleshooting - Final Positioning Mode, Rod Oil Out

Conditions:
• Ignition ON, engine
running
• Boom angle is
above 40°
• Travel select lever in
[F] FORWARD or
[R] REVERSE
• Park brake OFF
• Service brake
DISENGAGED
Model MMV Rev. 12/04
While traveling, ride feels spongy
(riding on 3 wheels).
Check electrical wiring. Refer to Section
11.4.8, Electrical Troubleshooting - Free
Pivot Mode, Will Not Frame Sway Right .
If OK
Check solenoid coils 4A (3) and 4B (4)
on the Stabil-TRAK™ manifold for
correct resistance (7-9 ohms).
If OK
Remove solenoid cartridges 4A (3) and
4B (4) from Stabil-TRAK™ manifold and
inspect for debris or damage. Refer to
Section 9.14.9, b. Stabilizer Cylinder
Disassembly .
If OK
Inspect check valves on frame sway
cylinder. Refer to Section 9.14.8, b.
Frame Sway Cylinder Disassembly .
If OK
Inspect check valves 2A (9) and 2B (10)
on the stabilizer cylinder. Refer to
Section 9.14.9, b. Stabilizer Cylinder
Disassembly
Stabil-TRAK™ System
Refer to Section 10.7.17, Frame Sway
Not
Circuit and Troubleshooting .
OK
Not
Replace solenoid(s).
OK
Clean passages or replace
Not
cartridge(s).
OK
Not
Replace check valve(s).
OK
Not
Replace check valve(s).
