Note: ALWAYS replace elastic locknuts with new elastic
locknuts to help ensure proper fastening.
7. At the radiator sides, install the two 3/8 x 1-1/2 x
5/16-18 socket head shoulder bolts (11),
spacers (12), 3/8" rebound washers (13), radiator
mount bushings (14), radiator mount rings (15), and
5/16-18 elastic locknuts (16) securing the
radiator (29) at its side mounting tabs to the radiator
brackets (17 and 18).
8. Working from beneath the radiator, install two 3/8-16
locknuts (8), 3/8" rebound washers (9) to the welded
studs on the bottom of the radiator. Torque to 31 lb/ft
(42 Nm).
9. Working below the radiator, install two 5/16-18 x 3/4"
Grade 5 capscrews (30), 5/16" lockwashers (31) and
5/16" narrow flat washers (32) securing the radiator
at the lower mounting tabs to the radiator shroud (7).
Torque to 18 lb/ft (24 Nm).
10. Uncap and connect the transmission inlet (1) and
outlet (2) hoses.

11. Install clamps (1 and 2) on the radiator input (upper)
hose (3) assembly. Work the hose onto both the
engine and then the radiator. DO NOT tighten the
clamps at this time.
12. Working above the radiator, line up the mounting
holes in the hose assembly bracket (4) with the
upper mounting tabs (5) on the radiator.and the
radiator shroud (6). Install two 5/16-18 x 3/4"
Grade 5 capscrews (7), 5/16" lockwashers (8) and
5/16" narrow flat washers (9) .Torque to 18 lb/ft
(24 Nm). Fully secure both clamps (1 and 2) on the
radiator input (upper) hose (3) assembly.
13. Install clamps (10 and 11) on the radiator return
(lower) hose (12). Work the hose onto both the
engine and then the radiator. Secure the clamps.
