Note: Before disconnecting the unloader valve tube (9),
remove the tie wrap on the hoses (underneath the vehi-
cle) coming through the conduit (10). This will provide
enough play to slide the valve plate assembly forward
during the removal process. Disconnect the unloader
valve tube by removing the four bolts on the flange (11).

7. Loosen, but DO NOT remove, the four nuts (6)
securing the valve plate to the frame. The carriage
bolt assembly should remain connected to the valve
plate. Once the bolts are loose, the valve plate
assembly can be slid forward and lifted out. There
are slots (7) in the frame (8) so that the carriage bolt
head can slip through.
8. Remove the entire valve plate assembly from the
vehicle.
9. Secure the valve plate assembly to a work bench or
a vise, or stabilize by other suitable means.
10. Wipe up any hydraulic fluid spillage in, on, near and
around the vehicle and the work area.

Main Control Valve

The main control valve assembly (12) consists of various
working sections with their own valve assemblies, each
providing a specific hydraulic function. The section as-
semblies are the outlet (13), extend/retract (14), lift/lower
(15), mid-inlet (16), frame sway (17), attachment tilt (18)
and end cap (19) sections.

If service to the main control valve assembly is required,
remove the valve plate assembly from the vehicle. Refer
to Section 9.12.2, Valve Plate Assembly .

a. Main Control Valve Removal from Valve Plate
Before disassembling the main control valve, remove it
from the valve plate assembly.
1. Working from beneath the valve plate assembly (20),
remove the three locknuts (21), capscrews (22) and
MT2860
plain washers (23) securing the main control valve
(24) to the plate (20).
2. Remove the main control valve from the plate.
