9. Lift the tab (23) on the top plastic cover and unsnap
the two plastic covers (24) of the plastic case to
expose the skylight wiper motor (25).
10. Label and disconnect the cab harness (26) from the
wiper motor.
11. Remove the wiper motor from the vehicle.
b. Disassembly
DO NOT disassemble the motor. The motor is not
serviceable. Replace motor if found to be defective.
c. Cleaning and Drying
Without submerging the motor, clean the motor with an
approved solvent and dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
d. Inspection and Replacement
Inspect the motor terminals for continuity. Replace motor
if continuity is not found. (Refer to Section 10.7.30, "Sky-
light Wiper/Washer, Rear Washer Circuit and Trouble-
shooting.")
e. Installation and Testing
Note: An assistant will be required for the installation of
the skylight wiper motor.
1. Hold wiper motor up toward cab top and install the
cab harness connectors.
2. Attach the cab harness connectors to the terminals
on the wiper motor (28). Assemble the wire 151 (29),
purple w/yellow stripe, from the harness to terminal
"H" on the wiper motor. Assemble the wire 84 (30),
white w/brown stripe, from the harness to terminal
"P" on the wiper motor. Assemble the black ground
wire (31) to a bolt on the right side of the motor.
Tighten securely.

3. Assemble the two plastic covers (24) onto the wiper
motor. Place the wires out the opening (27) on the
right side of the lower cover and snap the two halves
together.
4. Assemble the wiper motor to the roof. Place the
lip (20) at the front of the plastic case above the
round bar (21) of the cab roof. Place the rubber
washer (19) onto the wiper motor shaft (8) and insert
the wiper shaft up through the hole in the roof. Place
the metal washer (17) onto the shaft and secure in
place with the hex nut (16). Tighten securely.
5. From inside the cab, place the top half of the clamp
block (14) between the lip (20) on the plastic case
and the round bar (21) of the cab roof.
6. Place the wiper mount (13) above the top half of the
clamp block (14) and the lip (20) of the plastic case
and install the two screws (11) and four flat
washers (12) and the lower clamp block (14).
Tighten securely.
7. Push the clear washer hose (22) all the way onto the
top hose fitting (10).
8. Assemble the skylight wiper arm (7) to the skylight
wiper motor shaft (8) with the wiper blade on the
right side of the skylight window. The wiper blade
should be parallel to the edge of the window. Push
the wiper arm all the way onto the motor shaft.
Assemble the washer hose (9) onto the hose
connection on the top hose fitting (10). Be sure to
leave enough hose to allow for movement of the
wiper arm.
