Engine Oil Pressure Warning Indicator Troubleshooting

Engine Oil Pressure
Warning Indicator
Before troubleshooting any
electrical circuit, ALWAYS
begin by checking the
following:
1. Fuses.
2. Batteries for proper
charge.
3. All connections relating
to circuit are clean and
tight.
Check engine for
oil pressure.
Not OK
Repair engine
component.
Model MMV Rev. 12/04
Engine Oil Pressure
Warning Indicator stays ON
while operating.
Check connections at oil
Check connections at oil
Not
pressure switch and dash.
OK pressure switch and dash.
Electrical System
MM1921
Repair as needed.
Not
OK If light still on.
Not OK
Disconnect oil pressure
switch at harness.Turn
ignition off and check for
grounded circuit. If light
is still on, check wire 11A,
(PUR/WHT) at pin C.
Refer to Section 10.7.7,
Main Electrical Schematic
(Sheet 2 of 6) .
If OK
Replace dash panel.
