b. Throttle Pedal Installation
1. Install the 1/4-28 NF hex jam nut (1) and 1/4" SAE
flat washer (2) onto the end of the throttle cable (3).
Secure the cable to the throttle pedal (4).
Note: If throttle cable ( 3 ) replacement is required, the
cab must be unbolted from its mount and raised slightly
to permit cable removal. (Refer to Section 3.2.3, b. Cab
Removal.)

2. If needed, attach one end of the extension spring (5)
to the throttle pedal lever beneath the pedal. Attach
the other end of the spring to the cable clamp (6).
3. Align the throttle pedal assembly (4) with its mount
holes in the cab floor (7).
4. Install three 1/4-20 x 1-1/4" capscrews (8),
lockwashers (9) and flat washers (10) securing the
throttle pedal assembly to the cab floor (7). Torque
the capscrews to 9 lb/ft (12 Nm).
5. Connect the negative (-) battery cable (11) at the
battery negative (-) terminal on the battery in the
engine side battery box.
6. Connect the negative (-) battery equalizer cable (12)
at the bottom of the battery equalizer (13). Torque
the nut to a maximum of 100 lbs/in (11 Nm).
7. Replace engine side battery box cover (14). Use the
wing nuts (15) and carriage bolts (16) to secure the
cover in place.

c. Throttle Adjustment
1. From within the cab, lightly depress the accelerator
pedal (17) to full-throttle position. As needed, adjust
the limit-stop screw (18) until it touches the pedal.
Tighten the locknut (19) to 120-125 lb/in
(13,6-14,1 Nm).

IMPORTANT: During the full throttle check:
• DO NOT operate any hydraulic function;
• DO NOT steer or apply any pressure to the steer-
ing wheel;
• Keep the transmission in [N] NEUTRAL.
2. Check the engine rpm at full throttle. If the rpm is not
2600-2800 rpm, readjust the throttle limit-stop screw
at the throttle pedal within the cab.
