Transmission: ZF 4 WG-98 TS
13. Connect the transmission temperature switch
connector (1) and shift solenoid wiring harness
connectors (2 and 3). Secure the wiring harness to
the transmission using the clips attached to the
transmission with the housing capscrews (4).

14. Align the splined pump drive shaft with the
transmission drive and install the main hydraulic
pump (5) on the transmission using a new o-ring (6).
Secure the pump to the transmission using two
M12 x 1,75 x 40 mm capscrews (7), M12
lockwashers (8) and M12 plain washers (9) in the
lower mounting holes only.
15. Connect the outlet hose (10) to the main hydraulic
pump fitting (11).
IMPORTANT: Before attaching the main pump hose to
the reservoir, fill the pump with hydraulic fluid by hand to
prime the pump at the inlet.
Note: ALWAYS use new o-rings when servicing the vehicle.
16. Lubricate a new o-ring (12) with clean oil.
17. Install the inlet hose (13) and a new o-ring (12) to the
main hydraulic pump, using two flange halves (14),
four 1/2-13 x 1.5" NC Grade 5 capscrews (15) and
1/2" lockwashers (16).

18. Install the T-bolt clamp (17) over the other end of the
inlet hose (13), and slide the inlet hose over the tube
on the hydraulic reservoir. Tighten the T-bolt clamp.
19. Connect the transmission oil cooler inlet (18) and
outlet (19) hoses at the transmission.

20. Line up the two mounting holes in the accumulator
charge valve bracket (20) with the two upper
mounting holes in the pump flange (21). Secure the
bracket to the pump flange with the two M12 x 1,75 x
50 mm capscrews (22), M12 lockwashers (23) and
M12 plain washers (24).
