b. Seat Installation
1. Install two spacers (25 and 26), tethers (8-Right and
15-Left), seat belt assembly (24), washers (22 and
23), capscrews (20 and 21) and two nuts (27 and 28)
to the seat (18).
2. Within the cab, access to the right-side tether (8) is
restricted due to the closeness of the seat to the cab
wall. Move the seat all the way forward, and tip the
seat back all the way forward to gain access as
needed to the tether mounting hardware from inside
the cab. If necessary, install the right-side tether
before securing the seat base mounting hardware.
Note: ALWAYS replace elastic locknuts with new elastic
locknuts to help ensure proper fastening.
3. Position the seat (18) on the seat support (19). Align
the seat bracket mounting holes with the holes in the
seat support. Secure the seat to the seat support
with four 5/16" narrow flat washers (17), and new
5/16-18 elastic locknuts (16). Torque nuts to 20 lb/ft
(27 Nm).
Note: ALWAYS replace elastic locknuts with new elastic
locknuts to help ensure proper fastening.
4. Working at the outside rear of the cab with the rear
cab panel removed, secure the tethers (8-Right and
15-Left) to the cab with two 3/8" flat washers (13 and
14), rebound washers (11 and 12), and new 3/8-16
elastic locknuts (9 and 10). Torque nuts to 20 lb/ft
(27 Nm).
5. Attach the rear cab panel (7) to the cab with four
5/16-18 x 1" button head capscrews (5) and four
5/16" plastic washers (6).
