53. At the engine attach the upper radiator hose (1)
using the radiator clamp saved during removal.
Attach the lower radiator hose with clamp.

54. Open the radiator cap (2), located in the upper
radiator hose, and fill the radiator (3) completely with
a 50/50 mixture of ethylene glycol and water.
Replace and tighten the radiator cap. Add coolant to
the overflow tank (4) until the bottle is 1/2 to 3/4 full.
This overfilling will compensate for any air in the
cooling system.
55. Install the hood with the help of at least one assistant
(refer to Section 3.7.2, Engine Hood ).

56. Connect the negative (-) battery ground cable lead
(5) to the starter mounting bolt and the negative
frame ground cable (6) to the frame stud.
57. Connect the negative (-) battery cable (7) at the
negative (-) terminal on the battery in the engine side

battery box.
58. Connect the negative (-) battery equalizer cable (8)
at the bottom of the battery equalizer (9). Torque the
nut to a maximum of 100 lbs/in (11 Nm).
59. Replace engine side battery box cover (10). Use the

wing nuts (11) and carriage bolts (12) to secure the

cover in place.

60. Check that all hydraulic system, electrical system,
cooling system, fuel system, and exhaust system
connections are correct and connected tightly.
