IMPORTANT: It is very important that you DO NOT
remove the nut securing the front of the seat support
base to the cab. You will drop the carriage bolt down
between the cab and the fuel tank.
8. Loosen the nut (19) at the front of the seat support
base just far enough to be able to slide the support
forward in the key slot (20) so the base can be
removed.
9. Remove the seat support base (11) from the vehicle.
10. Disconnect the blower harness connector (21) from
the cab harness connector (26).

11. Disconnect the two heater hoses (22) from the
valve (23) on the back of the cab. Loosen hose
clamps (24) and slide the hoses and clamps off of

the valve.

IMPORTANT: Before the heater box can be removed
from the vehicle, the air conditioning hoses (25) need to
17
be disconnected from the rest of the air conditioning
18
system. This procedure must be completed by an
authorized air conditioning service technician. This
service technician will also need to be available when
the heater box is re-installed to re-install the air
conditioning hoses to the rest of the air conditioning
system.

12. Remove the four capscrews (26), lockwashers (27)
and flat washers (28) securing the heater box (29) to
the cab.

13. Carefully remove the heater box. Pull the hoses
through the grommet in the rear of the cab as you
are removing the heater box.
14. Loosen the two hose clamps (30) securing the two
heater hoses (31) to the heater box (29). Remove
the hoses and clamps and save for later assembly to
the new heater box.
