1) Pull the counter gear (5th gear) retainer ring out from

the ring groove with a ring pliers.

• Be careful not to stiffen the retainer ring.

9. Spread the retainer ring and remove the 5th counter

gear with a puller.

10. Remove the counter reverse spacer.
