Curtain Air Bag (CAB)
The curtain air bags are installed on both sides of the roof side rails and inside the headlinings. Each curtain air bag
is also composed of the air bag cushion and the inflator that has the detonator, explosives, and the gas generator.
A collision situation is detected by the curtain air bag collision G sensor installed at the lower side of the B-pillar. The
signal is transmitted to the air bag unit. The air bag unit instantly inflates the necessary air bag necessary by
sending a high current.
