WELDED COMPONENTS
REAR CORNER COLLISION REPAIR
Position the replacement side panel on the ve-
hicle and retain it with locking pliers.

- To insure a good buttweld, saw cut the replace-
Q ment side panel and the original side apnel at
T the ssme time.

Remove the replacement side panel section
and apply anti-corrosion sealant/primer to the
areas to be welded:
• spotwelds - weld through the sealant
# MIG plugwelds - weld through the zinc-
based primer
•
SIDE PANEL INSTALLATION
Position the replacement side panel and secure
it for welding with locking pliers.
Weld the replacement panel to the side rein-
forcement bracket, wheelhouse and floor pan
as shown.
