Cut the replacement side panel (E) and cowl
panel (F) 50mm (2 in) longer than the space they
are to fit in.

Retain the replacement panels (G) and (H) in
position with locking pliers.

Saw cut the replacement section and the origi-
nal panel at the same time to insure a proper fit
for buttwelding. Repeat this procedure as nec-
essary on the other edges of the replacement
panel where it overlaps the original panel.
Remove the replacement panel and apply anti-
corrosion protective primer to the areas to be
welded:
• spotwelds - weld through the sealant
•
MIG plugwelds - weld through the zinc based
primer
