Position the intensity (amps) control at an esti-
mated value that is based on the thickness of
the panels to be welded.
Testing may be necessary to determine the cor-
rect wire speed that will produce a uniform
bead.
Determine the weld penetration and adjust the
intensity (amps) accordingly.
The wire speed may require an additional fine
adjustment after the intensity (amps) is correct-
ly adjusted.
To control the heat transfer, the following
method of MIG seam welding should be used:
• apply a series of overlapping spotwelds
