This chapter describes messages with the
chassis control protocol (vccpd) process which exchanges link-state advertisement
based discovery messages between all the packet forwarding engines (PFE) through
the virtual chassis ports (VCP).
Routing socket version mismatch (kernel kernel-version != vccpd version) -- kernel upgrade
required
The virtual chassis control protocol process (VCCPD) discovered that the kernel does
not support the version of routing sockets it requires.
Error: An error occurred

The kernel version is older than the VCCPD version.
Upgrade the kernel package.
