Safety Precautions
Please note the following information regarding installation, normal usage, and servicing
of the control unit (main unit and monitor). For further details, refer to the Users Guide
provided with the control unit.

Precautions when working on internal parts of the control unit
(1)
Switch off the power to the control unit and monitor, as well as any other
peripheral devices in use.
(2)
To prevent electric shock, remove the power cords from the outlet.
(3)
Before starting work, lightly touch the rear panel of the control unit to discharge
any static electricity buildup in the body.
(4)
While removing parts such as print circuit boards and memory modules,
take care not to touch any of the connectors or IC pins. Keep these parts in
static-proof packages.
WARNING
High voltage is used inside the CRT monitor.
To prevent electric hazards and danger, the CRT monitor internal parts cannot
be accessed.
(The CRT monitor does not consist of parts servicable by the service
engineer.)

The DELL OptiPlex GX260 series control unit model
does not have a voltage selector switch (Automatic
detection of voltage).
The power cords for the control unit and monitor must
be fitted with tri-core plugs and connected to properly
grounded power outlet. Use only tri-core extension
cords fitted with a grounding pin.
Do not install in a location where dust or foreign matter
can get into the computer or its various slots. Do not
use near heaters or other sources of heat.
