Installing the Printer Interface Board

Install one or two E-I/F (DXA01A or PEI01A) boards in the control main unit.
WARNING
To prevent electric shock and/or damage to the control unit, always switch
off the power to the control unit and remove the power cord before attempting
installation or removal of parts.
Power is continually flowing through the unit while the power cord is connected
to the socket.
CAUTION
Before beginning, touch the metal plate at the rear of the control unit to
discharge static electricity from the body.
In addition be sure to wear a wristband for grounding when performing install
of boards.
Otherwise static electricity in the body may cause damage to electronic parts
on the boards and the control unit.

For GX1/GX110 Series Control Unit

Remove the Control Main Unit Cover
(1) Swing the cover up and forward by pressing and holding the two buttons on
the left and right sides of the control unit as illustrated.

(2) Remove the three cover hooks from their holes on the lower front part of the
chassis.
(3) Lift the cover of the control unit up and remove it from the chassis.
