Installation 4. OS Settings
(4) Click [Change...].
→ The [Computer Name Changes] dialog appears.
(5) Enter the host name in the [Computer name:] box to be distinguished from
others on the network, then click [OK].
NOTE
• Enter the computer (or host) name using single-byte alphanumeric
characters. Uppercase and lowercase are displayed as input, however,
they are not distinguished for the computer (or host) name.
• For the FUJI protocol (FINP) (supporting software ver. A03 or later), the
maximum length of computer (or host) name is limited to 10 characters.
For other protocols, it is limited to 15 characters.
• The computer (or host) name must be unique within the installation site. If
more than one FN-PS551 is used in the same installation site, each unit
must be given a different and unique name.
• For the [Workgroup:] and [Domain:] boxes, the default values should be
used.
→ When the computer name is changed, the [Computer Name Changes] information
appears.
