Installing the Various Types of Driver Software

NOTE
• Use the "Dell OptiPlex ResourceCD" enclosed with control unit (PC) to
install the various types of driver software. The version of the "Dell OptiPlex
ResourceCD" changes according to the timing of shipment. The explanation
that follows assumes that the version 4.00 is used. If the version is different,
refer to the DELL Web site for the installation guide corresponding to the
version of the "Dell OptiPlex ResoruceCD" to be used.
• After installation of the Service Pack 5 is complete, install the various
types of driver software. Content of the Service Pack 5 is overwritten
according to driver software. Therefore after installation of all driver software
is complete, install the Service Pack 5 again.
Preparation
It is necessary to install the "Dell OptiPlex ResourceCD" enclosed with the control unit
(PC) beforehand and startup the Dell OptiPlex Resource CD menu screen before
installing the various types of driver software.
Outline of procedure is shown below.
Installation of the Dell OptiPlex ResourceCD
NOTE
Perform the installation procedure for the Dell OptiPlex ResourceCD shown
below just once before installing the various types of driver software.
(1) Insert the "Dell OptiPlex ResourceCD" into the CD-ROM drive.
→ The [ResourceCD Installation] screen starts up automatically.
(2) Click [OK].
→ The [InstallShield Wizard] screen is displayed.
(3) Click [Next].
(4) When [Setup did not detect Internet Explorer 4.0 or later.] is displayed, click
[Yes] (setup continue).
→ Installation is performed.
(5) When [InstallShield Wizard Complete] is displayed, remove the CD-ROM
from the drive, and check that [Yes, I want to restart my computer now.] is
selected, then click [Finish].
→ The system restarts.
