Installation 2. Setting Up the Equipment
Remove the Expansion Card Cage
(1) Rotate the card cage lever upwards until it stops at a vertical position as
illustrated.
(2) Lift up the expansion card cage to remove it from the chassis.

Install the E-I/F Board
Install the E-I/F board in the ISA or PCI bus slot of the expansion card cage riser board
(expansion slot board).

(For a DELL OptiPlex GX1 series control unit model)

NOTE
• ISA1 and PCI2 bus slot are shared, and therefore, cannot use them at the
same time.
• When using DXA01A and PEI01A boards concurrently, install one board
in the first slot (ISA1 or PCI2) and the other in the second slot (ISA2 or
PCI1).
