(14) Click the [Network Connections] icon on the [Network and Internet
Connections] window.
(15) Right-click the [Local Area Connection] icon on the [Network Connections]
window, then click [Properties] on the menu displayed.
(16) From the list titled [This connection uses the following items:] on the [Local
Area Connection Properties] dialog, select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)", then
click [Properties].
(17) Enter necessary information including the [IP address], [Subnet Mask] and
[Default Gateway] in the setting items under the [General] tab on the [Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties] dialog, then click [OK].
• [Use the following IP address] option should be selected.
• Enter an IP address for this FN-PS551 in the [IP Address].
• If the network is using a subnet, enter mask data in the [Subnet Mask].
• For [Default Gateway], before receiving image data from clients
NOTE
• Confirm details such as IP addresses, subnet masks, and routers with the
network administrator of the installation site.
• The setting process cannot be ended until a subnet mask has been entered.
• The [Default Gateway] need not be entered unless image data is received
from different networks.
(18) Click [Close] on the [Local Area Connection Properties] dialog, then close
the [Network Connections] window.
(19) Click [start] on the Windows desktop, then click [Turn off computer].
(20) Click [Restart] on the [Turn off computer] window.
(21) When [To begin, click your user name] is displayed on the screen after the
system restarts, enter "pc-ps" in the Administrator Password box, then click
button.
NOTE
Since the installation procedure requires logging on to Windows XP as an
administrator, the default value "Administrator" should be used.
After this, the Windows XP desktop appears.

If the network is not using a subnet, enter the Class C mask data
("255.255.255.0").
