2. Setting Up the Equipment
PEI01A Board (for PCI bus)
CAUTION
• The control unit (PC) must be set to use a PEI01A board. If the PEI01A
board is used without the setting, it causes a Printer error (Source Name:
EifPrDrv, Event 2: SMCU Driver error, Event 3: EIFIMG Driver error).
• If the last four digits of the SERIAL NUMBER of the control unit is "2247"
or later, the setting of the control unit to use a PEI01A board has already
been performed at a factory. If a PEI01A board is to be used on the
control unit with "2246" or earlier, refer to "9. Setting the Control Unit (PC)
to Use PEI01A Board" in the "FN-PS551 Service Manual: MAINTENANCE"
to set the control unit.
• When using only one board, make sure to set it according to the "PEI board
#1".
• When using two boards, set the first and the second board according to the
"PEI board #1" and the "PEI board #2", respectively.
