Attaching the Floor Stand

NOTE
Skip this section if installing the control unit sideways.
The control unit can be placed either horizontally or vertically (i.e., as a mini-tower). If
installing the control unit vertically, attach the floor stand provided.
NOTE
Attachment procedure for the floor stand explained below assumes DELL
OptiPlex GX1/GX110 series control unit models are being used. Follow a
similar procedure for GX150/GX260 series, too.
(1) Place the control main unit vertically on its right side with the drive bay at the
bottom.
(2) Attach the floor stand to the left side of the control main unit.
• Align the locator hole (positioning hole) in the floor stand with the cover
button on the left side of the control main unit. Then align the screw in the
floor stand with the screw hole on the control main unit.
• The locator pin on the floor stand should fit properly into the square holes
on the control unit.
• When the stand is properly aligned, tighten the screw firmly.

(3) Turn the control main unit upside down so that it sits on the floor stand and
the drive bay faces up.
