Maintenance 7. Service Utility
• [Overlay threshold density:]:
For overlay images, specify a threshold value for the extent that the density
corresponding to overlay bit "1" data, in multiples of 100 × actual value (range
= 0 to 300).
As this differs depending on the type of client (modality) concerned, specify
a value according to the post-connection report for the relevant model in the
"Modality Connection List".
Run a test image output to check that overlay images are displayed correctly
at the new setting. If the character and scale in white appear to have sections
missing, increase the set value. If the character and scale in black appear to
have sections missing, decrease the set value.
Change the set value by only 15 to 20 at a time while checking the output
images until the optimum value is attained.
NOTE
For software ver. A05 or later, set [a margin between image:] and [Image
layout:] shown below in [output format2].
For software ver. A04 or earlier, set them referring to "
Between Image Frames" and "
DICOM and TOSHIBA Protocols" from "7.7 Entering Annotation Text
[Annotation]".
• [a margin between image:] (supporting software ver. A05 or later):
Enter a value for margin between images set on film in the field. (range: 0 to
50, unit: pixels, default value: 20)
Normally, the default value for the margin between images frames should be
used. Do not change the default setting unless requested by a user because
of problems with the layout.
• [Image layout:] (supporting software ver. A05 or later):
Sets how image frames are arranged.
• [concentration]: Sets the image frames in the center of film (secures the
• [spread]:
NOTE
For [concentration], all image sizes arranged on a film should be the same.
Image size varies in the following cases, so even if [concentration] is set,
images are arranged by [spread].
• When images of different sizes are included on an one film.
• For DICOM protocol, when output image size on a film (width of image) is
specified (Requested Image Size) in the image data sent from a client.
