Maintenance 9. Setting the Control Unit (PC) to Use PEI01A Board
Setting Procedure
When setting the control unit (PC) for the first time, proceed as described below.
It is necessary to perform the setting for two DXA boards; and therefore, repeat
following steps (4) to (13) for setting the first and second DXA board.
(1)
Switch off the power to the control unit and monitor.
(2)
If the PEI or DXA boards are installed in the control unit, remove them all.
(3)
Insert the "Intel Configuration Utility" disk into the floppy disk drive, switch on
the power to the monitor, and then the control unit.
→ It starts up automatically, and the [ISA Configuration Utility] window appears in
approximately 90 seconds.
(4)
Click [Add].
→ The [Card Category] dialog appears.
(5)
Move the cursor with the down arrow key, select [Others] at the bottom, and
click [OK].
→ The [Add Others Card] dialog appears.
