Maintenance 10. Installing Software for GX150 Series Control Unit
Installing the Intel Ultra ATA Controller
(1)
Startup the Dell OptiPlex ResourceCD menu screen.
(2)
Select [Controller] from [Device Type] column, and click [Intel ATA Storage]
from the list of [OptiPlex GX150 Controller Drivers Windows NT 4.0].
(3)
When the [OptiPlex GX150 Controller Drivers Windows NT 4.0> Intel ATA
Storage] screen is displayed, scroll the screen down to the bottom, then click
[Extract].

When the [WinZip Self-Extractor] screen is displayed, click [OK], [Unzip],
and [OK] in this order.
(5)
When the [Internet Explorer] window is displayed, scroll the screen down to
the bottom, then click [Install Now].
(6)
When the [Confirm File Open] screen is displayed, click [Open].
(7)
When the [Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard] screen is displayed, click
[Next].
(8)
When [License Agreement] is displayed, after checking the contents, then
click [Yes].
(9)
When the [Choose Destination Location] screen is displayed, click [Next].
(10) When [InstallShield Wizard Complete] is displayed, click [Finish].
(11) From the [Start] menu on the Windows NT desktop, click [Settings] and then
[Control Panel].
(12) Double-click the [SCSI Adapters] icon on the [Control Panel] window.
(13) Click the [Drivers] tab, select "IDE CD-ROM (ATAPI 1.2)/Dual-channel PCI
IDE Co...", then click [Remove].
(14) When [Remove Driver] is displayed, click [Yes], then click [Add].
(15) When the [Install Driver] screen is displayed, click [Have Disk...].
(16) When the [Install From Disk] screen is displayed, click [Browse...].
(17) When [A:\ is not accessible.] is displayed, click [Cancel].
