Appendix 1. Installing the Expanded Memory for the Control Unit
Appendix 1.
For DELL OptiPlex GX110/GX150 series control unit (PC) models, the expanded memory
installation procedure is as shown below.
The setting changes the virtual memory volume after installation of the expanded memory.

Installing the Expanded Memory
WARNING
To prevent electric shock and/or damage to the control unit, always switch
off the power to the control unit and remove the power cord before attempting
installation or removal of parts.
Power is continually flowing through the unit while the power cord is connected
to the socket.
CAUTION
Before beginning, touch the metal plate at the rear of the control unit to
discharge static electricity from the body.
In addition be sure to wear a wristband for grounding when performing install
of boards.
Otherwise static electricity in the body may cause damage to electronic parts
on the boards and the control unit.
NOTE
Memory expansion applies only to DELL OptiPlex GX110/GX150 series
control unit models. Add 128MB memory to the standard 128MB memory at
shipment after manufacturing to expanded memory to a total of 256MB.
Removing the Control Main Unit Cover
Remove the Control Main Unit Cover.
