Analysis Information Collection

Various files necessary for analysis of defects occurring on FN-PS551 can be collected
on a floppy disk using [Utility] menu in the [SERVICE UTILITY] Window.
CAUTION
Never use [Utility] menu at installation and normal service because they are
used to analyze the design and configuration of the FN-PS551 application.
Only if a request is made by the Service headquarters to use the settings,
make a use of them according to their instructions. Also, [Restore] in [Utility]
menu should not be used.
NOTE
• This function applies to software ver. A05 or later.
• Set acquisition of communication record between network interface devices
and printers as log information using [Logging] setting in "7.8 Specifying
the Acquisition of Log Data [Logging]". Under this status, start FN-PS551
application in order to actually print out from each client, and then execute
the following steps. If log information acquisition is not set, log file necessary
for analysis can not be collected even if the following steps are executed.
• Before the following steps, prepare a floppy disk (DOS formatted) for
collecting analysis information. At least 3 disks are needed. If unprinted
image data remains in output cue, more disks may be necessary depending
on the image data volume.
(1) From the [Utility] menu, click on [collect].
