Maintenance 9. Setting the Control Unit (PC) to Use PEI01A Board
Confirmation Procedure
Proceed as described below to confirm the set control unit (PC).
(1)
Switch off the power to the control unit and monitor.
(2)
If the PEI or DXA boards are installed in the control unit, remove them all.
(3)
Insert the "Intel Configuration Utility" disk in the floppy disk drive, switch on
the power to the monitor, and then the control unit.
→ It starts up automatically, and the [ISA Configuration Utility] window appears in
approximately 90 seconds.
(4)
Confirm that two "Unknown Card"s appear in the [Card Configured In System:]
list.
NOTE
While "DXA#1" and "DXA#2" appear at the time of the new setting, two
"Unknown Card"s appear at the time of the confirmation.
(5)
Click either one of the two "Unknown Card"s, and then click the [View] ([View]
in the lower menu line).
→ The [Card Resource Usage] dialog for the selected "Unknown Card" appears.
