Centering Bolt
2005 CELICA (RM1131U)
HOOD
ADJUSTMENT
HINT:
Since the centering bolt is used as the hood hinge and lock set
bolt, the hood cannot be adjusted with it on. Substitute the stan-
dard bolt for the centering bolt.

Adjust the hood by turning the cushions.

BODY − HOOD
ADJUST HOOD IN FORWARD/REARWARD AND
LEFT/LIGHT DIRECTIONS
Adjust the hood by loosening the hood side hinge bolts.
Tighten the loosened bolts again.
Torque: 13 N·m (130 kgf·cm, 9 ft·lbf)
ADJUST FRONT EDGE OF HOOD IN VERTICAL
DIRECTION
ADJUST HOOD LOCK
Remove the upper front fender opron seal.
Remove the upper radiator support seal.
Remove the radiator reservoir.
Adjust the hood lock by loosening the bolts.
Tighten the loosened bolts again.
Torque: 6.9 N·m (70 kgf·cm, 61 in.·lbf)
Reinstall the removed parts.
