6.4:B Procedure to Make HS Data

Setting-up the personal computer for creating HS data
1. Get Windows for HS up and running in a personal computer.
2. Create a folder of "\HS_UTL" in the folder of WINDOWS.
3. Copy the two files "HS_UTLE.EXE" and "HS_CHART.BMP"
in the HS utility floppy disk to "\HS_UTL" folder created in the
above 2. (It is possible to drag and drop a whole folder of
"HS_UTL" in a floppy disk into "WINDOWS" by "EX-
PLORER".)

C:/WINDOWS/HS_UTL/HS_CHART.BMP
4. Install the printer driver for exclusive use of HS. (Installation
method refers to Driver Guide in the Installation & Operation
manual.)
5. Select "BJ LABEL/CARD PRINTER-LPT1:" as a default
printer" in "PRINTER" menu in Windows.
6. Since the default is ready for card printer, open the property of
BJ LABEL/CARD PRINTER and select label printer.
• Open the property of BJ LABEL/CARD PRINTER.
• Click the tag of "Details".
• Click the button of "Setup".
• Click the button of "Basic printer setting".
• Select "Label printer".
7. Install the TWAIN driver attached for the image scanner.
(Installation method refers to the Installation manual or the
Users' manual for each)
