Transportation, cont'd.
Procedure
No.
1 1. Remove the two screws (1) of the PHS cover and detach the PHS
cover (2).
2 1. Release the tube release lever and detach the tube connectors.
Attach the connector packing (1) (1-901808-00) into the four
tube connectors, and close the connector cap.
2. Put the end of the four tube connectors into a polyethylene bag
and secure with tape.
3. Attach the transportation connectors for BYPASS: (2)
(1-901809-00) to the tube station connectors, and close the tube
release lever.

Transportation by Land, Air, and Sea for Middle and Long Distances
Put the machine on long distance transportation mode by the
following procedure (same packing form as shipment from fac-
tory).
Caution:
When using a suction pump (special purpose tool), after each color is finished
being sucked, wash the tip of the pump nozzle with clear ink.

Inspection/Remarks
Before attaching the connector
packings and the transportation
connectors (for BYPASS), clean
their connection areas with lint
free sponge and wipe off dust,
foreign material, and ink.
Care should be paid to prevent
dust, foreign material, and so on
from entering the connection ar-eas
of the tube stations and the
tube connectors and the inside
of the tubes.
Use a lint free sponge to clean
the connection areas and wipe
off the ink adhered there.
