6.3:C Head Cleaning
Kind of cleaning
Description
Cleaning (A)
Resolve slight non-fire and misalignment of 1 and/
or several nozzles.
Cleaning (B)
1. Execute, when non-fired nozzle is not resolved in
spite of Cleaning (A) executed
2. Resolve non-fire and misalignment of nozzle in
wide-range.
3. When installing the printer, to be carried out in the
ink initial fill procedure.

The head cleaning operation in the printer is automatically carried
out as the need arises, when the power switch is turned on and
printing operation starts & is going on. Required cleaning is also
selectable and is able to be carried out by operating the control panel
and the service mode.
When it is not diagnosed that BJ head is ejecting in normal condition
as the result of printing "NOZZLE CHECK PATTERN" and
deterioration of image quality, the head cleaning which is the
recovering process to normalize nozzle ejection should be carried
out. The following schedule is how to select and use the head
cleaning in order to recover the deteriorated image quality.
Note:
Required time marked with * is just for your reference, The time required for
the cleaning operation becomes longer than the time above, in consideration
of additional operations of ink supply and suction for waste ink before cleaning
operation start.
