Nature of Error
Displayed when the Write Protect of the
memory card is on.
Displayed when the data which have 36
fields and over are sent to the control
box.
Displayed when formatting a memory
card and its size is too small to be used on
this machine.
Displayed when copying a memory card,
the capacity of the memory card receiv-
ing the copy is smaller than that of the
memory card being copied.
Displayed when registering a nonstand-
ard character and a nonstandard charac-
ter code outside the scope is used.
Displayed when non standard character
codes outside the scope are used at the of
registering non standard characters.
Displayed when an error occurs with
verify check when copying a memory
card and the machine judges that a proper
copy cannot be made.
Displayed when a system error related
to memory cards occurs, etc. or a mode
error occurs that cannot normally occur.

Displayed when serial number of the
printer sent from host computer is differ-
ent from practical number.
Chapter 6 Troubleshooting
Corrective Action
Insert the memory card after turning off
its Write Protect, and then press any key
on the control panel.
Reduce the field no. of the data to under
35.
Insert a memory card of an appropriate
capacity (1MB) and then press any key
on the control panel.
Insert a memory card of an appropriate
capacity and then press any key on the
control panel.
Check if the memory card in which the
specified file exists has been inserted.
Check the nonstandard character code.
There is a possibility that the memory
card is broken. Replace the memory
card and then press any key on the
control panel.
Re-switch on the printer.
Check correct serial number and press
any key on the control panel.
