It is recommended that the periodic inspection, adjustment and
cleaning are carried out by service engineers in order to keep and
assure higher quality of the product in the market. The major items
for adjustment and cleaning in it's maintenance at the site are
described below.
Note:
The interval is remarkably changeable depending on surroundings and the
conditions of the printer installed and number of printing.
Description
Open the PHS unit, clean the platen, the feeding belt, around the
TOF sensors and remove paper debris. Clean with water-wet, well-
squeezed cloth. See Figure 5-1 (1).
Open the PHS unit and clean the rowel and the rowel cleaner.
Waste ink, specially in rowel cleaner is to be removed with water-
wet and well-squeezed cloth. See Figure 5-1 (2).

Open the PHS unit, remove paper debris around the TOF sensors
with a blower brush, when unremovable because the debris go deep
into the sensors, disassemble and clean the feeder unit.
Check whether output voltage of the both sensors meet required
value or not, and adjust it, if not.
