Intermec ColorCoder V4 – Service Manual Ed. 1
This machine has ink filled in its various parts such as the ink supply
system, restoration system, and the BJ heads, etc. Therefore, the
following points should be made thoroughly known and carefully
explained to the customer, so that ink does not leak inside or outside
the machine and some unexpected breakdown does not occur.
Relocation Inside Room/Building by the Customer
1. Open the sub cover at the back of the machine and place the
machine on transportation mode by raising the opening/closing
arm (green lever).
2. As the machine is heavy (about 29 kg/64 lbs), two persons
should always lift it.
3. Do not tilt the machine excessively. Also when using a push car,
etc., avoid bad roads so as not to subject the machine to excessive
vibration.
4. Important! After having the machine settled, push down the
opening/closing arm (green lever) immediately.
Movement for Short Distance by Car
When a machine installed at a service base is moved by car to a
customer's site in a very short distance, place some thin paper (lint-
free paper, paper and paper towel) on the platen, and then, further
procedure should be taken in accordance with 1. mentioned.
Do not tilt the machine too much. Also, avoid bumpy road so as not
to expose the machine to excessive vibration.
