Detaching the Pump Unit, cont'd.
Warning:
The needle block of the pump unit is sharp in its tip and is dangerous.
Therefore, when the pump unit is detached from the pump unit along with the
lower ink room, be sure to put the needle cover on the tip of the needle.
Caution:
1. When disconnecting the recovery tube, suck out the ink in the tube with lint-
free towel (1-901807-00). After detaching the recovery unit, cover the end
of the tube with the lint free towel. Do not tilt the pump unit.
2. When the pump unit is detached, the ink may leak out of the unit. Conduct
work on a tray or on a sheet.
3. When moving or transporting the pump unit, detached, suck out the ink from
the sub-tank beforehand, and pack is with a special packaging material.
4. When sucking out the ink from the inside of the sub-tank, suck out from the
joint (8 positions) of the tube station using a standard pump for liquids.
5. When a suction pump is used, clean the tip of the tube so that the ink adhered
to the tip does not mix with the other color inks. To clean the tip, use clear
ink (1-901805-00) put in another container. After cleaning, be sure to
dispose of the used clear ink.
