Nature of Error
Displayed when machine senses that
front cover of machine is open. Dis-
played when front cover is opened to
exchange Ink cartridge or others.
Displayed when PHS unit is opened to
clear "Check Paper" or other error.
Displayed when cover of optional cutter
is opened to clear "Check Paper" or
other error.
Displayed when power of optional cut-
ter is OFF.
A serial number sent by a host PC is not
the same as the printer has.
Displayed when a mode error that nor-
mally cannot happen occurs such as
pulling a memory card out while access-
ing it, switching Write Protect, etc. Is not
normally displayed.
Displayed when data of file specified by
memory card is destroyed so data cannot
be read.
Displayed when memory card has not
been formatted or is different from for-
mat of this machine, so that data cannot
be read.
Displayed when memory card has insuf-
ficient unused memory so data cannot
be written.
Displayed when registered number of
files of memory card exceeds the maxi-
mum number that can be registered (127
files).
Displayed when a file with the same
name as that which is being input al-
ready exists.
Displayed when no memory card has
been inserted.
Displayed when the battery built into the
memory card is low.
(Depending on the type of memory card,
there are some that cannot detect that the
battery is low).

Troubleshooting
Corrective Action
After clearing error, close the front cover
of the machine.
After clearing the error in question, close
the PHS unit.
After clearing the error in question, close
the cutter cover.
Turn ON the power of the optional cut-
ter.
Select the HS data which has a correct
serial number or turn off "HS out put".
There is a possibility that the memory
card is broken. After inspecting the
memory card, press any key on the con-
trol panel or re-switch on the printer.
Insert a memory card with ample
memory and press any key on the con-
trol panel.
Either format by means of the control
panel or insert a memory card that has
been formatted for this machine, and
press any key on the control panel.
Insert another memory card with spare
memory and press any key on the con-
trol panel.
Insert another memory card with spare
memory and press any key on the con-
trol panel.
Either change the name of the file to be
input or insert another memory card, and
press any key on the control panel.
Insert a memory card and press any key
on the control panel.
Insert the memory card after replacing
its battery, and then press any key on the
control panel.
