This machine displays an error message on the control panel when
an error occurs due to misoperation, etc. by the customer. If there
are a number of errors, displays the error message at intervals of two
seconds. The following shows the nature of the error messages and
their corrective actions.
Nature of Error
Displayed at the time of paper jam,
improper paper feed, paper type differ-
ent from the one set up, fan fold paper
exhaust during printing process, etc.
Displayed when the roll paper set to the
roll unit has exhausted.
Displayed when the paper is not cor-
rectly set.
Displayed when the loaded paper width
is narrower than the paper width setting.
Displayed when yellow ink is not sup-
plied from its cartridge to the sub tank so
the machine is judged to have run out of
yellow ink.
Displayed when magenta ink is not sup-
plied from its cartridge to the sub tank so
the machine is judged to have run out of
magenta ink.
Displayed when cyan ink is not supplied
from its cartridge to the sub tank so the
machine is judged to have run out of
cyan ink.
Displayed when black ink is not sup-
plied from its cartridge to the sub tank so
the machine is judged to have run out of
black ink.
Displayed when machine senses that
yellow cartridge is not set.
Displayed when machine senses that
magenta cartridge is not set.
Displayed when machine senses that
cyan cartridge is not set.
Displayed when machine senses that
black cartridge is not set.
Chapter 6 Troubleshooting
Corrective Action
Remove the paper jam, set the paper and
push the panel key. In case of different
type of paper, set proper paper. When
the papers exhaustion, remove remain-
ing paper and set new fan fold paper.
Remove the remaining paper and set
new one.
Set the paper correctly.
Replace with the set paper and change
the setting, and press the panel key.
Replace the yellow ink cartridge, and
close the front cover.
Replace the magenta ink cartridge, and
close the front cover.
Replace the cyan ink cartridge, and close
the front cover.
Replace the black ink cartridge, and
close the front cover.
Set yellow cartridge. When cartridge is
properly set, replace it with a new one.
Set magenta cartridge. When cartridge
is properly set, replace it with a new one.
Set cyan cartridge. When cartridge is
properly set, replace it with a new one.
Set black cartridge. When cartridge is
properly set, replace it with a new one.
