Check Point
1 Is a large amount of ink adhering to the
blade or the blade absorber?
2 Has a large amount of waste ink col-
lected on the absorber? Is there a large
amount of ink adhering to the head
face?
3 When "CLEANING (A)" or "CLEAN-
ING (B)" is executed, is waste ink prop-
erly sucked up from the restoration tub
unit?
4 Is there a large amount of ink adhering
to the BJ head absorber?
5 Is there a large amount of ink adhering
to the BJ head face?
6 Is the problem corrected when the BJ
head is replaced?
Check Point
1 Is the pinch roller properly positioned to
the mark for the mounting position.
2 Is the rowel unit properly attached?
3 Is the paper delivery rowel unit properly
attached?
4 Is the feed belt properly attached?
5 Are the tension roller and tension spring
properly attached?
Chapter 6 Troubleshooting
Result Corrective Action
Yes Remove the ink from the blade
and blade absorber, clean them,
and execute "CLEANING (B)".
Yes Replace the PHS unit (restora-
tion tub unit) ,clean the absorber
of the head, and execute "Initial
ink filling" (See Chapter 3.3:B).
No Replace the pump unit and ex-
ecute "Initial ink filling" (See
Chapter 3.3:B).
Yes Eliminate the ink from the BJ
head absorber and from the
groove of the cap, and execute
"Initial ink filling" (See Chapter
3.3:B).
Yes Clean up the BJ head face by
dust-free sponge.
Yes Finished.
Result Corrective Action
No Reattach the pinch roller unit to
the mark for the mounting posi-
tion.
No Reattach the rowel unit in the
properly adjusted position.
No Reattach the paper delivery
rowel unit in the properly ad-
justed position.
No Reattach the feed belt in the prop-
erly adjusted position.
No Reattach the tension roller and
tension spring properly.
