7 NetStream Configuration
The record view is displayed.
Step 3 Run:
collect counter { bytes | packets }
The mode of exporting traffic statistics is configured.
Step 4 Run:
collect interface { input | output }
The traffic statistics sent to the NSC contain the indexes of the inbound interface and outbound
interface on the S9300.

7.6.5 Configuring NetStream and Setting the Packet Sampling Ratio
Context
Do as follows on the S9300 where the Flexible NetStream feature needs to be configured.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
interface { ethernet | gigabitethernet | xgigabitethernet } interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
Step 3 Run:
ip netstream { inbound | outbound }
The NetStream function is enabled for the inbound and outbound IPv4 unicast traffic on an
interface.
To enable the interface to collect statistics about inbound and outbound IPv6 unicast traffic, run
the ipv6 netstream { inbound | outbound } command.
By default, the NetStream function is disabled in inbound and outbound directions. In this case,
statistics about IPv4 and IPv6 unicast traffic cannot be collected.
The Netstream can collect statistics about inbound and outbound packets separately.
Step 4 (Optional) Run:
ip netstream sampler fix-packets packet-interval { inbound | outbound }
The IPv4 fixed-packets sampling ratio on an interface is set.
By default, the fixed-packets sampling ratio on an interface is 1000:1.
Step 5 (Optional) Run:
ipv6 netstream sampler fix-packets packet-interval { inbound | outbound }
The IPv6 fixed-packets sampling ratio on an interface is set.
