3.4.3 Enabling NTP Authentication

You must configure the same authentication key on the NTP server and NTP client, and declare
that the key is reliable. Otherwise, NTP authentication fails.
Context
Do as follows on the switch.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
ntp-service authentication enable
NTP authentication is enabled.
Step 3 Run:
ntp-service authentication-keyid key-id authentication-mode md5 password
The NTP authentication key is configured.

NOTE
l Configure both the NTP server and the NTP client following the preceding steps.
l Configure the same authentication key on the server and client and affirm that the key is reliable;
otherwise, NTP authentication fails.
l Enable NTP authentication before performing actual authentication.
