CMP SENSOR REMOVAL/

INSTALLATION

Remove the following:
– Throttle body (page 5-71).
– Left timing belt back cover (page 14-6)
Release the CMP sensor 4P connector [1] from the
connector holder of the connector bracket [2] and
disconnect it.
Remove the two bolts (5 x 14 mm) [3] and CMP 1
sensor/CMP 2 sensor [4] from the left side of the timing
belt back cover [5] and release the harness clip band
boss [6].
Install the CMP 1 sensor/CMP 2 sensor and tighten the
two bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 3.9 N·m (0.40 kgf·m, 2.9 lbf·ft)
Set the harness clip band boss to the timing belt back
cover.
After installing the CMP sensors, install the left timing
belt back cover, timing belt driven pulley, and the timing
belt (page 14-12).
Connect the CMP sensor 4P connector and set the
connector to the connector holder of the connector
bracket.
Install the throttle body (page 5-71).
EOP SWITCH (HIGH PRESSURE SIDE)
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the cylinder head (page 14-22).
Disconnect the 2P connector [1] and remove the EOP
switch (High pressure side) [2].
Replace the O-ring with a new one [3] and coat it with
engine oil.
Install and tighten the EOP switch to the specified
torque.
TORQUE: 22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)
• Be sure to use a torque wrench to tighten the switch.
Overtightening will damage the cylinder block.
Connect the 2P connector to the EOP switch (High
pressure side).
Install the cylinder head (page 14-24).
